20/3/19 A Salute to Kiss92 Singapore

I got to hand it to them.  They understand Cybernetic Loop:

Then again these are not coincidences.  They must have done listeners profiling and zero in to the preferred song choices.

I am reading Why We Buy by Paco Underhill.  It is marketing at its finest.  Understand the demographics and give them what they want.  It is the Sheep in the Wolf Land metaphor.

I was a loyal listener to TraXXfm since 2007.  Even way when they were Radio Blue RTM.  Today I must say they are losing a listener due to a swatch of too many genres and haphazard segments trying to please everybody.  The biggest blow was when they decided to play oldies (I mean real old stuff) on Saturdays and Sundays when we are at home entertaining ourselves to the good old radio while relaxing.

I tried doing something with them last year to bring them to the next level but Project Invasion 9 was a fiasco.  The mindset change took longer than 9 days to happen.  Eventually the project dragged to 7 months.  By November 2018 I decided to cut the umbilical cord.

During that time I went searching for alternative stations to listen to.  The next best thing was Galgalatz, Israel.  The songs are great but I don't understand a word the DJs were saying.  After a few attempts of using Bing Translator to communicate with them, I decided to look elsewhere.

Where can I find a station that plays Cybernetic Loop songs without commercials?  I looked far and wide.  I tried a few stations in the UK; full of commercials.  Time difference was a factor.  That is when I decided to try something closer to home.  I tried Indonesia particularly Bali but finally I decided to try Singapore.

It took me some trial and error.  Finally I settle for Kiss92.  It still got commercial but somehow I think theirs are more the in-house ones.  So it is bearable.  I think the clincher is they are not the same commercials repeated over and over again like Spotify.

Thus, begins my relationship with Kiss92.  A superb station that plays varieties of songs that provide me with one dopamine hit after the other.

For those who want to understand what I mean by Cybernetic Loop songs, basically they are songs that create positive impact to the mind in order for the body to act,  These songs are used as part of the accelerated learning while I am reading, running or writing; like this song:

The songs are usually uplifting and inspirational.  The Malay radio stations definitely miss the target by a mile.  There is no formation for Thought Invasion.  Thus no way they can be used as an instrument for Cybernetic Loop.

Well, I said my piece...  The final score is Singapore 1 - Malaysia 0.  I still listen to TraXXfm Morning Show though.  After 10:00 am onward it's Kiss92 all the way.  Now that is what I call Delighting the Customer at its best.

This song is on air as I end this posting:

This is my delight at this moment. At the same time it is also my grief. Oh well... The power of choice.

OK baby, I'm going to bed now.  The network really sucks...

Goodnight honey.
