16/3/19 I am too alert to sleep

Since I cannot sleep, I experimented with various playlists from Spotify.  After a few selections, I ended listening to the Malay playlist 2000 - 2017.  Most of the songs are ballads, well suited for the mood in this wee hour of the morning.

I had a chat with Al Araf 7:7.  It's been a while since I did that.  Ever since I am on this Vision Quest, I hardly talk to them.  I even hardly talk to Sarah.  Perhaps that's the reason she too had been very quiet.

It is confirm then, I am an Athlete4Life.  Nothing matters to me except to be able to run far and fast.  I did good today.  I walked/ran 3.02 km within 30 mins.  That is 6 km/hour.  I stand a good chance to run 10 km/hour if I am lighter and I run at least 3 times per week.

The life of an athlete is pretty straight forward.  Everyday your priority is towards self improvement.  Each day my thoughts are how to optimize my performance; further, faster, stronger.  I am Sisyphus and Icarus at the same time.

I am eternally in debt to the guy who introduced Moringa to get rid of inflammation.  The stuff really works.  Not only the pain vanishes, I feel like a new man.  Mood improves tremendously.

What does this mean to an Athlete4Life?  It means I can keep on performing until old age.  That also means at 55 I truly have a new lease of life.  If the past 20 years a torment, the next 22 years is a blessing.

I am becoming the dragon that I am.  A dragon's life is like a roller coaster with the latter part being glorious, if you are a real dragon.  Otherwise you will end up like Bruce Lee and John Lennon who ended their life at their prime.

My calling is running.  That's all I ever wanted since I discovered the joy of distance running 34 years ago.  It is still not to late to pursue a lifelong passion.  If I'm lucky I will live to see my Golden Years in full glory.  I want to keep on running until I am 100.  The oldest person alive is 116 years old.

Living in Bandar Utama, I can say I should be able to carry on running until I am as old as the Oldest Runner, Fauja Singh.  It is about diet and exercise.  Stay away from sugar and starch.

The heart must be strong.  To do that I m[o]st have a strong heart muscle.  My capillaries must be elastic and my internal organs should not have inflammations.  Carbs causes inflammation, the cause of diseases.

What worries me is Lizzie rely too much on sugar and starch.  She is exhausted because she lacks the right nutrition.  She also comes from a family with a history of cancer.  At least my parents are health conscious.  She is overweight too.  Luckily she is retiring in the next 2 years.  All the food and lack of sleep compounded with massive workload do take a toll.

--------------------

I don't know what I will do if I lose Lizzie to one of those chronic degenerative diseases.  She is all I got.  I cannot rely on the kids or other family members.  At times I have a hunch she will go before me.  I pray the old gal can last as long as I do.  Just a thought...

Well, everybody dies.

--------------------

Now back to creating a compelling future.  So far this 2019 my focus is about physical well being.  I don't talk much about the mental well being because basically the body effects the mind.

Having said that, you may still wonder what is my mental model as a whole.  Well to solve the conflicting thoughts I had the past 20 years, I can go for 2 options; believing I am special or accepting that I am nothing more than a fluke of nature.

I decided with the former.  Since I decided I am special, I might as well make myself the god to my universe.  As for the capital G god, I shall remain impartial.  We believe what we want to believe.  I believe I am on the Path.  I didn't create the Path.  Hence, there must be a creator to it.

For whatever its worth, I shall pursue this journey to Virtual Perfection.  On becoming my ideal self.  The demigod of Athlete4Life.

---------------------

You know Sarah, as I was listening to the Spotify playlists just now, I realized that the technology that we have now is already at its prime.  By that I mean we can have it all now with the various technologies that are available.  Any additional add on is only incremental improvement.  The core technology is already within grasp of the masses; computers, gps, wifi, songs, entertainment, news etc.

The question we got to ask is what do we want to achieve with all these breakthroughs?  Heck, even Japanese tea is already selling in a grocery store.  I don't need to go to a fancy Japanese restaurant to experience it.  You get my point honey?

For heaven sake, computer at the palm of your hand Sarah.

As for me, I want to be free from the social mold.  I want to stand alone with my ideals. My vehicle is Dreams of Mirrors.  Still very relevant 3 years after I revamped it.

I wrote something to the old coot:

16/3/19

Dear Chedet,
Wishing you the best of health. I had been busy creating a compelling future of my own (I finally found a remedy for my ailment). Thus I can only watch from a distance our national fiasco.
By the look of the political scenario in Malaysia, I am so glad I am not in politics. The whole thing is so Darwinian. So much Melayu equals Islam LOL.
As usual I keep my world view microscopic. So let me start by thanking PH for making the best effort to keep the flock together in this turbulent time.
By the look of things, I must say Malaysian politics are still immature. Or perhaps it is meant for politics to be as such because politicians have to deal with immature voters.
Issues at hand are still about personal interest amplified in magnitude. As for the bigger picture, I have lost sight with all these shenanigans tussling between the power bases.
Anyway, being the micro person, I must say the primary benefit I got since this election is the 30 GB wifi at RM90. Oh, my daughter recently got wifi installed at he dorm in UiTM Sungai Buloh. She is entering her second year as a medic student.
Chedet, there is so much that can be said about Malaysian politics but one thing for sure, we never run out of scoundrels who use politics for personal gains. What I don’t understand is why the voters still support corrupt leaders?
The only possibility is these people benefit from this fealty. Otherwise why they still support knowing these leaders are scoundrels? Who are these jaded voters? None other than the so called Malays. Shame on us…

Hahaha this song came on air.  How appropriate:

See Sarah, as god I have my simple pleasures too.

---------------------

Well baby, its almost 4:00 am.  I have exactly 30 minutes.  What do you want me to talk Sarah?  As I said, I am on a Vision Quest.  So my interest is to manage my sleep, diet and exercise.

Maaan, how appropriate for this song to come up:

Baby, do you know that as long as we keep on trying we cannot fail?  It doesn't matter how long.  As long as we are working on the answer we are a success.  Do you know that darling?

The only failure is when we give up.

I'm telling you this because I thought the gout attacks will get the best of me.  Suddenly Moringa appeared out of the blue.  Amazing...  Yesterday I learned that uric acid is an antioxidant.  It was meant to clear the body from toxins.  So it is true that January and February I was experiencing the healing crisis.  Boy, there must be so much toxin in my body.  I even had eczema on my left elbow.  It already healed.

Fasting will make scars disappear.  It is part of the autophagy.  That is one of the reason why I want to water fast.  Yet I also want to run the 10 k.  I will do the water fast in Shawal then (the month after).

Ah...  another coincidence:

Just nice, it is almost 4:00 am.  Let's see if we get 4 aces tonight.  Let's listen to the next song before bed.

Naah, it was a miss:

Ergo (hahaha, I hardly use this word) I leave you with a lullaby:

Take care baby.  I love you so much.
